Real Sociedad moss Moyes re-emerges on West Ham radar

West Ham United are reportedly still trying to lure David Moyes to east London despite the Scot insisting he will not be leaving Spanish club Real Sociedad this summer.

With current boss Sam Allardyce set to depart, the West Ham board have made signing Moyes their number one priority, with a large transfer budget said to be a bargaining tool in persuading the former Manchester United and Everton manager to return to the Premier League.

West Ham co-chairman David Gold has said the club will be bringing in at least five players in the summer transfer window.

Moyes has another 12 months to run on his current contract with the Spanish club, having impressed in a debut season which included a victory over La Liga champions Barcelona.
