Real Sociedad midfielder David Silva says there was no hesitation over signing a new contract.

The Manchester City legend penned a new 12-month deal last month.

"It was fast. We closed it practically in one day," recalled Silva. "Roberto (Olabe) met with me and it was easy."

The veteran also said: "Here, I like the philosophy of having the ball, getting it back quickly up top.

"It is working very well in every way."
