Real Sociedad have expressed interest in Olympique Marseille winger Florian Thauvin.

After a disappointing spell at Newcastle United, Thauvin has rebuilt his career after the past two seasons at Marseille.

And Le 10 Sport says Real Sociedad are ready to make an offer for the midfielder.

However, Thauvin is understood to have his sights set higher.

The Frenchman favours a move to Italy, where his minders have fielded interest from Inter Milan.
