Real Sociedad are convinced Arsenal want to sell Kieran Tierney.
The Scotland fullback has joined La Real today on-loan for the season.
Mundo Deportivo says there is no purchase option in the deal, despite the fact that it was initially raised and was even written in the first draft of the agreement.
But it was the €29m fee demanded by Arsenal, which is well out of La Real's range, which saw the clause eventually written out of the deal.
However, Arsenal are counting on Tierney leaving. For this reason, despite the fact that initially they were only interested in a transfer or loan with a purchase obligation, they ended up giving in to the strong La Real interest. In addition, they will contribute part of the salary of the Scot.
The London club wants the full-back to gain value in Donostia, playing regularly and in the Champions League, in order to secure a large fee the following summer, presumably from another club more economically powerful than La Real, although future negotiations for a return to Donostia are not ruled out, if both parties are satisfied with the loan.
