Real Sociedad boss Moyes: Mata's dad told me he is loving Man Utd

David Moyes has revealed how Juan Mata's father told him the Spanish midfielder was loving his time at Manchester United.

Moyes, now manager at Real Sociedad, signed Mata from Chelsea for £37.1million in January 2014 prior to his sacking as Red Devils boss in April.

Mata took some time to adjust to life at Old Trafford but is now one of Louis van Gaal's key players and Moyes admits the former Valencia man is enjoying himself at United.

Speaking to The Express, in reference to Sociedad's 1-0 loss to Elche on Monday night', Moyes said: "Juan Mata's dad was at the game and came to see me afterwards.

"When Juan arrived at Manchester United his dad was with him and he came into the dressing room afterwards.

"I was asking how Juan was and he said he's really happy at Man United, he enjoys it and he likes Manchester."
