Real Salt Lake striker Alvaro Saborio is out of Costa Rica's World Cup squad.
The 32-year-old suffered a fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his right foot during training on Thursday.
"The best tribute we can give to Alvaro is to make it a good World Cup," Costa Rica coach Jose Luis Pinto.
