Real Mallorca coach Aguirre: Victory over direct rival Granada important

Real Mallorca coach Javier Aguirre was happy with their 1-0 win against Granada.

Antonio Raillo struck the winner for the hosts.

Aguirre said: "It is true that we have taken an important step but worse things have been seen in football. Granada beat us 2-6 and I saw the locker room in Second and relegated, but the virgin appeared to us. We got a 7 out of 9 and we stayed up. In football it is very difficult to do the math. It is not definitive, 30 points are not enough for you.

"We are not making good decisions in the last third. We have even missed penalties. We have what we have, but it is where I have put the most emphasis and where we are worst. A good pass, cross, shot... but today we must point out Batalla which has deprived us of a couple of goals. We are trying with different pairings in attack, but I have found coordination with Larin and Muriqi, in addition to Abdón, who also does well

"It was an important match, as the rest will be, but this one in particular was against a direct rival, after the defeat of another direct rival, because we were playing at home and because it was at a time when there was a national team break"
