Spain defender Sergio Ramos has jumped to the defence of Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema.

Benzema has been branded as "useless" by former France coach Raymond Domenech.

"Questioning a player like Benzema is insane. For Real Madrid and the French national team he is an extraordinary striker who makes the difference. Everyone is free to express their opinions, but when Benzema is happy few can reach his level," declared Ramos.
