Real Madrid will seek to replace Raphael Varane from within the LaLiga should the Frenchman depart.

Marca says Real intend to sell Varane if he refuses to renew his contract. His current deal has less than 18 months to run.

And if he is sold, Varane's replacement will arrive from a LaLiga rival.

Pau Torres of Villarreal, along with Sevilla pair, Jules Koundé and Diego Carlos, are the players under serious consideration.

And the move will be performed independently of the expected Bosman arrival of David Alaba from Bayern Munich.
