Former France midfielder Rio Mavuba believes PSG still have a trump card to play over Kylian Mbappe's transfer battle.

Off contract in June, Real Madrid remain favourites to sign Mbappe.

But Mavuba says the chance to play with kid brother Ethan could yet convince Mbappe to stay.

He told Telefoot: "I want him to stay. Winning the Champions League and the Ballon d'Or with PSG is a greater challenge than winning them elsewhere, especially with Real. A collective project is being built around Mbappé at PSG. Having the presence of his brother in the squad can tip the balance in favour of PSG.

“You better resolve this as quickly as possible. This year we really have the feeling that it is managed better. Two years ago, he shook the atmosphere at PSG a bit. Now it is more serene. There are agreements between him and the president. And his situation must be resolved quickly because if PSG is eliminated in the Champions League, the issue will come up again."
