Real Madrid have ruled out Fabio Coentrao being included in their deal for Napoli striker Edinson Cavani.

Cavani is a top target for Real and wants to see the deal done, but Napoli are insisting on big money for the Uruguayan.

Real have offered to include players to drive down the cash component, but a request from Napoli for Coentrao has been knocked back.

The Portugal international has emerged as a key player for Real since the New Year and there is no thought within the club of allowing him to move on .
