Real Madrid in talks with top sports shrink

Real Madrid want to sign the sports psychologist of British F1 driver Lewis Hamilton.

AS says Real want to bring Kerry Spackman to Madrid to work with the club's younger players and help instill a winning mentality into their approach.

Spackman was recommended to Real by Valter di Salvo, the club's fitness coach, who worked with Spackman in England while with Manchester United.

Real have already held a series of interviews with Spackman and hope to add him to their football staff by January. Di Salvo is keen to work again with Spackman after expressing concerns over several of their young players and how they handle the pressure at Real.

Wesley Sneijder, Fernando Gago, Gonzalo Higuain, Robinho, Marcelo, Pepe, Arjen Robben and Royston Drenthe have all been discussed between Di Salvo and Real directors at some stage this season.
