Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain insists he's not downcast after a fresh injury.
Higuain damaged his hamstring during Sunday's 2-0 home victory over Real Mallorca, and he is now set to miss the Primera Division matches against Athletic Bilbao, Malaga and Deportivo La Coruna.
"There is healthy competition in the team. We are a squad of 25 players and if Karim does well, then it's good for the team," said the Argentine.
"I'm happy because I was doing well, and for that I'm positive."
The Argentina international is also hoping he can return inside three weeks, which is the estimated time he will be out, telling AS: "The doctors always give the worst-case scenario, but I have to try and shorten the recovery time and return to being 100% as soon as possible."
