Real Madrid ace Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't believe an anti-Portuguese feeling exists in Spain. Former Real coach Jose Mourinho, now of Chelsea, has remarked that "in Spain, when they call you a Portuguese son of a b****, it's because they mean it".
But Ronaldo says: "I don't want to get into it. That insult started because of me. I don't see it as racism. I don't think it exists. People chanted it to upset me.
"I feel great here, with the appreciation of the people of Madrid, and also those from other places, though less so. I don't feel any racism or anything. I really like Spain and the people, and I'm very happy here."
