Raul has backed Real Madrid's push for Bayern Munich ace Franck Ribery. "He's a great player. We are in a period that repeats itself every summer with players coming and going. If Ribery comes I will be happy," said the Real captain.

Asked about his first week working with Cristiano Ronaldo, Raul added: "I see him very happy and content, with desire and enthusiasm to tackle a very important challenge for himself.

"He's a very nice guy, hardworking and very normal. He has settled and he is very happy and we're very happy."
