Real Madrid signing Michael Essien is excited to be playing for Jose Mourinho again.

The Chelsea midfielder has joined Real on-loan and was asked why he calls Mourinho 'Daddy'.

"Because he's like a father to me. I know him very well. He knows what I'm capable of. My experience working with him was unforgettable and I am very happy to have this new opportunity to work with him," said Essien.

"He's very strong and has a great way of dealing with his players. He knows how to get the most out of each of them. He is very affectionate with his players and they all like him. It is a pleasure to work with him."

Essien and Mou once visited Ghana together for a charity foundation.

"It was a very special visit to Ghana with him. We went to help a children's charity. In Ghana they adore him and all the kids were very happy to enjoy his company."
