Real Madrid have sacked Alejandro Menéndez as coach of the Castilla.

Menendez has paid for a poor first-half of the season, with the Castilla now mid-table in the Segunda B and well off the promotion places.

Real senior management believe the Castilla should be in the leading places and pushing for a return to the Segunda Liga this season.

Menendez has been replaced by Alberto Toril, who is promoted from the Juvenil A team.
