Real Madrid's Ronaldo: What Mourinho says 'is not important'

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has lashed out at former manager Jose Mourinho.

The current Chelsea boss has revealed that his relationship with Ronaldo has broken down since he left to take over at Stamford Bridge last summer.

Mourinho said: "You would not find us hanging around together. The relationship does not exist, but the remembrance of his impact."

But Ronaldo insists he is not bothered by Mourinho's words, saying that his fellow Portuguese has no influence on him as a player or the Spanish club as a whole any longer.

"Mourinho? What he says is not important," said Ronaldo.

"I only think about Real Madrid. I want to help them, the other things I do not care about."

So far this season, Ronaldo has scored nine goals in four La Liga outings as well as two in the UEFA Super Cup win over Sevilla and one in Madrid's opening Champions League fixture against FC Basel.
