Real Madrid's Chicharito: Man Utd did not have faith in me

Javier Hernandez has suggested that Manchester United did not show faith in him during his time at Old Trafford.

The 26-year old Mexican striker departed United to join Real Madrid on a season-long loan this summer and he feels that the English club lacked belief in his talents which contributed to his desire to leave.

Chicharito also touched on Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti and was under the impression that he would be given plenty of opportunities under the Italian.

"There was no confidence. I remained patient and that's why I'm here today. It was a very tough year especially because they didn't believe in me," Chicharito told Claro Sport.

"I had the chance to meet Ancelotti when he was Chelsea coach. The faith he has in his players motivates me and makes me work hard.

"I really want to make the most of my time here. Any footballer dreams about joining Real Madrid. I know I'm here for a reason. The statistics support me, I'm a good player and a good person."

Hernandez, who scored 59 goals in 154 appearances for the Red Devils, has so far played twice for Real with both outings coming off the bench.
