Real Madrid push Spurs chairman Levy to drop Modric price

Real Madrid refuse to go higher for Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric. The Daily Mirror says Real Madrid have warned Tottenham that they are not prepared to offer more than £30million for Modric, leaving the wantaway midfielder in limbo.

Spurs have already rejected a £27.5m bid from the Spanish champions and are adamant they will not let their star playmaker leave for less than £40m.

But Madrid president Florentino Perez has said Madrid have made their final offer.
