Real Madrid president Florentino Perez insists Manuel Pellegrini's job is safe.
The Chilean was thought to be under pressure before Saturday's victory over Getafe, but Perez says: "The newspapers came out with the names of great coaches, but we're happy with Pellegrini and we are sure that we will end the season in a positive way.
"The press thrives on gossip, but Real Madrid is a prestigious club and cannot become too attached to what comes out of the newspapers. We respect the press, but it is the club that decides and we say we're happy as we are."
