Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has again spoken of his admiration for Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.

Asked to name the best player in the world, Perez replied: "I cannot name just one. There is Kaka (AC Milan) and Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United). But also I like Messi a lot."

On Real's plans to boost their attack, Perez admitted Valencia striker David Villa and Atletico Madrid's Diego Forlan were both on their shopping list.

"I really like Villa and Forlan, they are wonderful. (Barcelona striker) Samuel Eto'o? No, none of my football staff have recommended him to me."

Asked about the futures of Raul and Guti, Perez added: "Raul is a symbol of Real Madrid. There will be great players arriving, but he will be ready to fight once again. And Guti is also very much loved, he's been here for eleven years and deserves every affection and respect."
