Real Madrid president Florentino Perez attempted to rally fans after their Champions League elimination by Juventus.

Real also face missing out on the Liga title.

"I know that today our fans will be low, but I want them to know that this will lead us to work even harder to become even stronger," said Perez.

"It has been an uneven season," Pérez continued. "We started with a record run of 22 victories, the European Supercup and the Club World Cup but at this club we want much more. That is the legacy we have inherited and we will continue to fight for an 11th European Cup. We have to congratulate Juventus and also to thank the coaches and players for their effort, and Madridismo as well."
