Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is set to meet with Sergio Ramos in an attempt to find agreement over a new contract.

ABC says Real's current offer is for a new one-year deal at 10 per cent less than what Ramos currently earns.

The captain, meanwhile, is seeking a two-year arrangement on current terms.

While there are differences, there's a confidence on both sides of a table of a compromise being found.

Florentino and Ramos are set to meet in the coming days with the aim of reaching an agreement.
