Real Madrid have begun talks with Gareth Bale's camp about a move from Tottenham.

Bale is emerging as Real's priority target for the summer market after another stunning season for Spurs.

El Confidencial says Real have been in contact with Bale's minders, including agent Jonathan Barnett, who has held a meeting with club representatives.

Real believe Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will be prepared to sell for £40 million. They are also confident of getting first refusal on the Welshman after their deal for Luka Modric last summer.
