Real Madrid No2 Aitor Karanka was full of praise for Luka Modric after their thumping win over Athletic Bilbao.

The former Tottenham midfielder was outstanding during the victory.

Karanka said: "When we signed Luka we knew which positions he can play in and he is adapting to what his team needs. Everyone knows the quality he has and with a team like this he is going to get better. Today made a great pass to Karim for the first goal and every day he is getting better."
