Toni Kroos believes Gareth Bale is upset he was blocked from leaving Real Madrid last year.

Bale hasn't been used at all by Zidane of late and is unlikely to be considered for selection against Manchester City in the Champions League, yet his agent, Jonathan Barnett, is adamant that the forward isn't interested in leaving the Spanish capital.

"The reality is that this situation is an unsatisfactory one for everyone, Bale wasn't signed to play as little as he is doing right now," Kroos explained to the Lauschangriff Podcast.

"I think he originally wanted to leave last summer and the club said yes, but then changed their mind.

"I don't know if he's still a little p***ed off about that, I really don't, but the truth is that it's a difficult subject."
