Real Madrid legend Luis Figo has jumped to the defence of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo is underfire over the timing of his recent birthday party.
"I like to be there when times are tough. He doesn't need you to say anything on the day he wins the Ballon d'Or," Figo told Marca.
"I'm independent and make decisions based on what I believe is right. I'll get it wrong sometimes too. I'm not perfect.
"He's only human, it's normal for him not to score in every game. In my eyes, he looks as committed to the club and the team as ever."
