Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois admits Keylor Navas' departure for PSG this summer has lifted the pressure on him.
Courtois concedes with Keylor now away from the club, there's less focus on his own form and status as Real's No1.
He told Marca: “In the end, it's like in life. With some, you have better relationships and you talk more. He was a teammate, there has always been a relationship between us.
"The fact that he was no longer there never helped me. I think it is mainly the fact that there is no longer any debate outside, because internally we were two goalkeepers who trained well, as today with (Alphonse) Areola who is a great keeper.
"For me the day-to-day requirements have not changed. But yes, it seems that there is less debate outside the club."
