Real Madrid keeper Casillas: I should've been open with Mourinho

Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas regrets not speaking with Jose Mourinho when he was first dropped.

The Chelsea manager axed Casillas in favour of Diego Lopez and the Real captain admits he should've been more open with his former coach.

"Maybe I should have talked but I opted for silence," said Casillas on Canal +.

"Many have criticized me for keeping silent, I think it gives you more rage than when you can speak out. We had a professional relationship and that is it. I decided to shut up. I'm not accusing anyone of anything or anyone leaving bad things at the club."

He added: "During Jose Mourinho's time at Madrid it was good for us. I will always think that. We were equal with Barça for a while and in the first season things were good, in the last season they were not so good."
