Real Madrid aim to take advantage of uncertainty at Liverpool with a swoop for Dan Agger. The Daily Mail says Real Madrid have shown interest in Agger and that is bound to turn the player's head.

The fortunate part is that Rodgers maintains a good relationship with Jose Mourinho, his former mentor at Chelsea, and any deal should be amicably arranged. Agger has been happy at Anfield though and if Rodgers convinces him he can take the club forward then he may stay.

Questions remain on Martin Skrtel, Pepe Reina and Andy Carroll.
