Real Madrid defender Pepe insists he did not get a chance to talk to Getafe midfielder Javier Casquero on Saturday. Pepe was handed a huge ban for his brain explosion last season against Getafe, which included kicking Casquero while he was on the ground.

Getafe coach Michel kept his midfielder on the bench for Saturday's 2-0 defeat, but Pepe says he didn't get a chance to speak with him, even in the player's tunnel.

"I did not see him," said Pepe. "I did not have the opportunity to greet him, because I did not see him. But when I do, I will."

On last week's Copa defeat to Alcorcon, Pepe added: "We are human beings and it affected us a lot last week. This was something that has unsettled us."
