Real Madrid defender Nacho insists there's nothing wrong with their attitude after defeat to Villarreal.

Pablo Fornals netted late on to earn the visitors a 1-0 win.

Nacho said, “The team's attitude was good, we fought throughout the game. Villarreal are a team who can keep possession, but despite that we had a good game for the most part. We are training really well but in the games, I'm not sure what is happening".

“We ran a lot and that helped. Today was important for us to pick up the pace and start winning. We are Real Madrid and we cannot down tools at any moment. We have to face up to the challenges, weather the storm and keep fighting.

"Our chances are getting slimmer, but there is a long way to go, and we are fighting in three different competitions. We have the Copa this week and we are all looking forward to defending the badge of this club."
