Real Madrid defender Manu Hernando is to join Racing Santander on loan for the remainder of the 2019/20 season.

The defender has been playing for Real Madrid's subsidiary for two and a half seasons, but he's now stepped up to LaLiga SmartBank, where he will play alongside former teammate Luca Zidane, reports Marca.

Manu hasn't played regularly in recent months, with injuries getting in the way of him finding consistency.

His injuries have varied, frustrating him since training with Real Madrid's first team on their 2017 pre-season tour.

His Real Madrid contract runs out in 2022, and now he's left for Racing with a buyout option included in his loan agreement.
