Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez faces three weeks out after suffering a sprained internal ligament on his left knee.
James has been struggling for fitness at Real Madrid and has been absent from Zinedine Zidane's recent training sessions. However, he did travel to meet up with his national team.
During a training session with Colombia, James injured his knee and arrived back in Madrid on Monday where an official diagnosis was made.
"Following the tests carried out today on our player James Rodriguez," a statement on Real Madrid's official website read, "by the Real Madrid medical department, he has been diagnosed with a sprain to the internal ligament of his left knee. His recovery will continue to be assessed."
