Real Madrid are confident Steven Gerrard will quit Liverpool this summer to move to Spain suggest recent reports.

Spanish daily paper AS says that the Liverpool and England skipper is open to the move after enquiring to the players agent, Struan Marshall.

However, Real will not want to pay the mooted £25million for Gerrard who recently turned 30.

The club is also believed to be interested in Roma's Daniele De Rossi but the Italian club has insisted he is not for sale.
