Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is set to add Borja Mayoral to his squad for the new season.

With Luka Jovic pushing to depart on-loan, Zidane plans to promote Mayoral as the Serb's replacement. Indeed, the Frenchman now rates Mayoral ahead of Jovic.

AS says inside Madrid they are concerned about the low level Jovic offered in his first season and also about his problems away from the pitch. At the same time, they are sure that at 22 years of age his situation is perfectly recoverable.

Zidane is expected to include Mayoral in his squad for Sunday's meeting with Real Sociedad.

The striker has offers from Valencia, Levante and Lazio, but could now choose to stay following the show of confidence Zidane has offered this week.
