Real Madrid coach Ancelotti happy after Club America draw

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti was satisfied after their 2-2 draw with preseason friendly opponents Club America.

Karim Benzema and Eden Hazard from the spot struck for Real Madrid at Oracle Park.

Ancelotti said, "The game was a good one, better than the first. We struggled at the start up against a well-organised side. The team settled into the match and performed well and played in a different way to the first half. We played with more intensity and controlled play.

"The second half was more dynamic, with (Dani) Ceballos and (Eduardo) Camavinga changing positions. They both played well and brought a lot of energy. Ceballos is very good in possession."

On Benzema, he said: "He's in good shape, despite having not trained much. He's fine but needs to work on his fitness. We're working hard and the players aren't feeling fresh. We'll reduce the workload after the Juventus game until we play the Super Cup."

On Aurelien Tchouameni's performance, Ancelotti added: "He's a different type of midfielder to Casemiro as he holds his position more. He's got the ability to score goals. He's improving and he demonstrated that in the Barcelona game where we explained to him where he needs to improve. He has to take up better positions to play faster."
