Real Madrid have distanced themselves from claims of holding talks with former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.
It was reported in the Italian press that Real had approached Conte on Monday about his availability amid concerns of coach Julen Lopetegui not being up to the job.
However, a Real source told Cadena SER last night: "We deny any type of contact with Conte."
Lopetegui and Real resume LaLiga action this weekend against Levante on the back of three defeats in the last four games.
The Real coach is expected to remain in the job until at least the El Clasico against Barcelona at he end of October.
