Real Madrid are eyeing a late move for Lille fullback Mathieu Debuchy.

Real coach Jose Mourinho is desperate to land a new right-back before Friday's deadline and is turning to France international Debuchy.

The defender is also a £6 million target for Newcastle United.

Lille president Michel Seydoux is prepared to sell Debuchy should they fail to qualify for the Champions League group stage, with their playoff against FC Copenhagen held tonight.
