Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is eyeing Manchester City defender Micah Richards. The Daily Mail says the England player is a surprise name on Real Madrid's shopping list this summer after his impressive season at the Etihad Stadium.

Mourinho had tried to sign the versatile right back during his time at Chelsea.

The 23-year-old only signed a four-year deal last year, but it has been suggested to the Portuguese manager that Richards has grown frustrated at Roberto Mancini's rotation policy.
