Real Madrid boss Mourinho targets Chelsea skipper Terry

Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho wants to bring Chelsea skipper John Terry to Spain in the summer. Gazzetta dello Sport says Mourinho has urged Real president Florentino Perez to sound out Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich about his willingness to sell Terry at the end of this season.

Mourinho believes Terry can be Real's answer to the bedrock of Barcelona, Carles Puyol.

Now 30, there has been speculation Terry's position at Chelsea is under scrutiny and Mourinho is ready to pounce should he become available.

The former Chelsea manager is ready to stay with Real next season, particularly after delivering the Copa del Rey to Perez last week.
