Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez admits he has high hopes for the season.

James is hoping to make himself an important player at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu this season.

The Colombian was expected to leave all summer, but he's still at the club.

"I hope this is my season at Real Madrid," he told the El Chiringuito programme when discussing his situation.

Starting in the second game of the season against Real Valladolid, James was given an ovation by those in attendance at the Bernabeu.
