Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is being linked with Jose Mourinho's job at Real Madrid. The Special One is claimed to be struggling to work with Real president Florentino Perez and director general Jorge Valdano in the wake of Madrid's El Clasico mauling by Barcelona.
And if things reach breaking point, Madrid could turn to Ancelotti, with Roman Abramovich eyeing Barca's Pep Guardiola - also wanted by Manchester United - as a possible successor.
Yesterday reports claimed Chelsea players believed Ancelotti would leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, with an unnamed player quoted as saying: "The atmosphere isn't good at the moment. Everyone is convinced Carlo has had enough."
