Real Madrd coach Zidane delighted after 8-goal Bernabeu Trophy thriller

Real Madrd coach Zinedine Zidane enjoyed their eight goal thriller against Stade de Reims for the Bernabeu Trophy last night.

Real Madrid and Stade de Reims served up a glut of goals in a fixture staged to mark the 60th anniversary of the first ever European Cup, which was won by Real Madrid. The hosts' goalscorers were Nacho, Sergio Ramos, James, Mariano and Alvaro Morata, who notched his first goal since returning to the club.

“Today was about being able to watch all of the players in action. We won the game and that will be out last friendly. Now we must prepare for the first game in La Liga, we are ready to play," said Zidane.

“It is clear that when you concede three goals at home then certain things have not gone the desired way, but that is all part of the preparations. We have not conceded many goals in pre-season."
