Real Betis are making a move for veteran Manchester City midfielder David Silva.

The City skipper is off contract in June and has confirmed he will be leaving at the end of the season.

Silva has been linked with the likes of Vissel Kobe of Japan and new MLS franchise Inter Miami. However, he will also be offered a return to Spain by Betis.

Estadio Deportivo says Betis know Silva has plans of returning to Spain - though to Las Palmas.

But with his hometown club stuck in the Segunda Division, Betis hope to convince Silva to go with them in the Primera next term.
