Real Betis full-back Juanfran has rejected an offer from Middlesbrough.
Sky Sports says the 25-year-old held talks with Boro last week, after the Sky Bet Championship club agreed to pay an initial £500,000, although the deal could have risen by another £1million depending on appearances and promotion clauses.
However, after considering his options, Juanfran has decided he does not want to move to England, with interest now emerging from rivals Spanish clubs and also in Italy.
