Real Betis are eyeing Barcelona pair Carles Alena and Riqui Puig.

Betis will try and sign Carles Alena or Riqui Puig on loan to replace the injured Sergio Canales, and have started conversations with Barca to try and get one at the start of the January transfer window.

Estadio Deportivo reports that as Canales's injury won't go over five months they cannot make an emergency signing. However as soon as the window opens they want a replacement.

Alena was already on loan at Betis and did well there, while coach Manuel Pellegrini is also interested in Puig.
