Real Betis defender Bartra fumes over Sevilla penalty

Real Betis defender Marc Bartra was furious after their derby defeat to Sevilla on Thursday.

Bartra has questioned the decision to award Sevilla a penalty during their match with Real Betis on Thursday evening.

The defender was penalised by referee Antonio Mateu Lahoz, who adjudged the former Barcelona man of fouling Luuk de Jong.

Lucas Ocampos scored the penalty as Sevilla went on to beat their local rivals in the opening game of LaLiga Santander's return.

"It's incredible," Bartra told Movistar when asked about the penalty.

"I've won the position in the air, I jump before and [De Jong] finds himself with my arms.

"I think it's a turning point.

"It's incredible - look at his reaction. No one protested anything.

"Football is a contact sport.

"I don't think it's a penalty and it decides everything.

"At this level, the details decide a lot."
