Real Betis coach Manuel Pellegrini was left disappointed with their 2-3 defeat at home to Rangers.

The result sees Betis forced into the Europa Conference League.

Pellegrini said: "Not qualifying at home is a hard blow in a very strange match. They arrived three times and scored three goals. We had countless and we couldn't convert.

"We were doing well. We had no means of containment or centres. We had a very good offensive time in the first half to finish the game. It's a hard blow but just as the point in Prague was not easy to get, here we had to get the result."

"The locker room is damaged and we will try to recover it as soon as possible. Then we will try to recover the European competition with the Conference and get where we can.

"To focus on LaLiga, the Copa del Rey and we now have until February to play those round of 32 of the Conference. We will go as far as possible, but it has been an important challenge."
